Unfortunately, they can be temperamental and require maintenance that typical small-engine shops are not equipped to provide. Be sure to use the correct mixture of fuel to oil. Older Pionjars with a cast iron cylinder require a 12:1 mix. Newer Cobra Combi units use standard 50:1 fuel.<br>2. Fill the tank up completely. They can have trouble drawing from a nearly-empty tank.<br>3. Pionjar units are easier to start if you squirt some fuel into the passage next to the air filter area first.<br>4. All of these units run badly until they are fully warmed up. You will need to adjust the controls carefully for the first 2-5 minutes of operation.<br>5. They are easy to flood, especially if you set them down.
